Welcome graphic

Hello and welcome to my site. Over the next few webpages you will learn all there is to know about the Daintree rainforest. First, an introduction.

The Daintree is over 1200 square kilometres of rainforest located in tropical far north queensland.

It is home to the highest number of threatened, or rare wildlife in the world.

In the rainforest can be found 30% of Australia's frog, marsupial and reptile species, 65% of Australia's bat and butterfly species and 20% of Australia's bird species. All this is located in an area which occupies approximately 0.2% of Australia's landmass.
